Seedless flesh only
Watermelon is mostly water. A lot of it can mean a lot of stool. That is inconvenience, not clearance to empty the bowl. Dogs with pancreatitis history should not get a new fatty or sugary extra without the veterinarian who already manages that dog.
Rind and seeds
A swallowed chunk of rind behaves like other foreign bodies. Vomiting, not eating, and a hunched walk after a picnic is a clinic day.
