About AnimalsDetails

AnimalsDetails builds free, easy-to-use calculators for pet owners: puppy weight predictors, dog and cat age converters, food and calorie calculators, medication dose checkers and toxicity calculators. Every tool shows its working, so you understand the answer as well as the number.

How we build our tools

Each calculator uses published veterinary references: the Merck Veterinary Manual for drug doses and toxic thresholds, AVMA and AAHA life-stage charts, WSAVA nutrition guidance, the ASPCA Animal Poison Control Center and peer-reviewed growth studies. Sources are listed on every tool page. We favour caution: if a food is risky for some pets, we say so plainly.

What we are not

We are not a veterinary clinic and our articles do not replace a vet's examination. If your pet is unwell or ate something toxic, contact your veterinarian or an emergency animal hospital immediately.
